Newsies opened its West Coast non-union regional premiere production in San Jose, CA, at the Montgomery Theater on December 1, 2017, starring Sean Okuniewicz as Jack Kelly, and Lindsey Anderson as Kathrine Plumber. The choreography was designed by Scott Shedenhelm, an original cast member from the Newsies premier at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame tells the story of Quasimodo, the bell ringer at the Notre Dame Cathedral, who is locked away in the bell tower. Quasimodo's best friends are the statues and gargoyles that make up the architecture of the Church. The show carries a distinct gypsy like style that includes a variety of touches including quilt like patches, free flowing materials, and lots of colorful fabrics.

To perfectly encapsulate the look of real life statues, this show required many hours of construction and test runs. Through the use of styrofoam and many jars of mod podge, I was able to create the stiff look of marble statues. Here are a few behind the scene looks at costumes in production. 

Sweeney Todd tells the story of a Barber who returns to his home after many years to exact revenge on the people who ruined his life, especially the unlucky costumers who come into his shop for a trim. He works with his neighbor, Mrs. Lovett a baker to hide the bodies in her freshly baked meat pies. This show has a very dark element to it, and the costumes add to this by incorporating metallic and cold materials as well as dark fabrics and macabre makeup. Stylistically, this show took ideas from the steam punk era. 

Chicago is an American musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Set in Prohibition-era Chicago, the musical is based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes she reported on.

A Chorus Line is a musical with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and a book by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante. Centered on seventeen Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line, the musical is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical.

Hairspray is an American musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on the 1988 John Waters film Hairspray. The songs include 1960s-style dance music and "downtown" rhythm and blues. In 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, plump teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance program based on the real-life Buddy Deane Show.[1] When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight, and meets a colorful array of characters, leading to social change as Tracy campaigns for the show’s integration.

Crazy for You is a romantic comedy musical with a book by Ken Ludwig, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and music by George Gershwin. Billed as "The New Gershwin Musical Comedy", it is largely based on the songwriting team’s 1930 musical, Girl Crazy, but incorporates songs from several other productions as well. Crazy for You won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical.

Mary Poppins is a theatre experience your family will enjoy over and over again. “Practically Perfect In Every Way” Mary Poppins (Tiffany Tanquery) flies out of the windy London skies and into the home of two mischievous children. With the help of a carefree chimney sweep named Bert (Joey Dippel), the spirited nanny turns every chore into a game and every day into a “Jolly Holiday.”
